Camilla Ferri
​Camilla is a Postdoc at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy, and will join the Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society project as a Postdoctoral researcher. Camilla studied in Florence, Venice, and Leuven and completed her PhD in Venice, with a thesis on “The Matter of Time: Materials from the Past in Organizing for the Future,” including a 7-month visit as a Visiting Fellow at CBS. Currently, she works on craft and entrepreneurship with a focus on authenticity work and temporality.
Vera Haataja
Vera recently defended her PhD thesis in entrepreneurship at Aalto University School of Business and will be working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society project.
Her work focuses on social and individual change through entrepreneurship and its potential to create more equitable societies in terms of empowerment, emancipation, and responsibility. This is also reflected in her PhD thesis on "Empowerment and Emancipation in Entrepreneurship: Towards a 'Change-Creator' Perspective."
Léna Prouchet
Léna is a PhD Candidate at the University of Exeter and will join the Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society project as a Postdoctoral researcher after having studied in London, Aix-en-Provence and Guadalajara. Her PhD focused on multi-stakeholder partnerships for local development and forest preservation in collaboration with the UK-based NGO Cool Earth, which works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation and its impact on climate change. Lena is particularly involved in their work with the Awajun community in Peru on cacao growing and marketing, which she examined over five months in the Peruvian Amazon.
In her next project, she will continue her multidisciplinary engagement combining perspectives from entrepreneurship and development studies. Léna engages with policy-makers through her research to inform decision-making. With support from Sense about Science, she published a policy brief on "Adopting a Pioneering Approach that Supports Indigenous Communities and Addresses the Climate and Biodiversity Crises." In her private time, Léna volunteered in various organizations on the topics of climate protection, sustainable development, social impact and community engagement.
Siddhesh Rao
Siddhesh is a lecturer and PhD candidate in international tax law at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria. This October, he will be joining the Rethinking Entrepreneurship in Society project as a postdoctoral researcher. In the project, he will be exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on businesses and tax administration, contributing to the discourse on AI in international taxation and entrepreneurship. At present his research focuses on policy issues of international taxation, money laundering and use of technology in tax administration.
He has been involved in capacity-building training for government officials and civil society organizations in Eastern Europe and Africa. He also has taught at universities in Vienna, Japan, China and India and has co-authored policy reports for United Nations Conference for Trade and Development and the World Bank. He is the coauthor of “Taxing Crime: A Whole-of-Government Approach to Fighting Corruption, Money Laundering, and Tax Crimes” published by World Bank. Previously, he worked in tax consulting, advising multinational companies in India.
