Caroline Demeyére

Caroline is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Copenhagen Business School, where they joined in November 2021 as part of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion as a Moralized Market project. She is also a Research Associate at the Social and Solidarity Economy Chair at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, where she leads the project Organizing Against Gender-Based Violence: Insights from France and Algeria.

Her research focuses on organizing for sustainability across three main areas: multi-stakeholder collaboration for the Sustainable Development Goals, entrepreneurship for sustainability (including social entrepreneurship), and the social and solidarity economy. Grounded in public management, her work emphasizes the social dimensions of sustainable development—particularly equality, diversity, inclusion, and efforts to combat precarious work. Education for sustainability is a central theme in both her research and teaching.

Rethinking Entrepreneurship is a research project at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and generously supported by the Carlsberg Foundation. We explore the dynamic and evolving discourse of entrepreneurship, its impact on society, and its role in shaping the future. With a team of dedicated scholars, we delve deep into the question how the way we understand entrepreneurship links to our ability to address societal change and frames our thinking about society in past, present and future.
